Kalyan Minaret: Tower of Death in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan is not only famous with handsome-faced woman. Behind the beauty of it, this country hides a lot of grief, one enshrined Tower Kalyan Minaret. Located in the city of Bukhara, Kalyan Minaret tower in the form of a beautiful 48 meter high berasitektur with carvings art in his body.
But the beauty of the building is almost 900-year-old, smudged bloody story. Looking behind it so terrible loss of many lives, so it is known as the 'Tower of Death'.

In the 16th century, Kalyan Minaret turned into a place of worship of the Muslims, the building is equipped with mosques and madrasas, but the high tower remains excellent. From the height of Kalyan Minaret, the muezzin's call to prayer, calling on Muslims to perform prayers five times a day.

Along with the times, Kalyan Minaret constantly changing function. No longer used as a place of worship. Kalyan Minaret been used as an observatory, even during wartime, used as a location to spy on the enemy.

Other functions are more miserable, Kalyan Minaret used as a public execution chamber. Society was executed by the inhumane way.
