1. Son Doong
Son Doong cave is declared as the world in 2009. The cave
is part of the National Park Phong Nha-Ke Bang, Bo Trach District, Quang Binh
Province, Vietnam.

underground river. Son Doong was first discovered by a local man named Ho Khanh
in 1991.
2. The ice cave in the volcano Mutnovsky
The ice cave is located around the volcano Mutnovsky in
Russia. Some of them are formed by a vent that releases volcanic heat and gas,
called fumaroles.
According to the photographer Denis Bud'ko, half a mile

Waitomo cave was first explored in 1887 by Tane Tinorau

Waitomo.
However, underground caves were never explored
extensively until one when Fred and Tane went in to investigate. They built a
raft of flax and also brought a candle into the cave. They were down the
underground river which was in the cave with makeshift equipment.
When Fred and Tane finally managed to get inside, they
found a set of glowworm that adorn the ceiling of the cave. They also created
awe of the beauty of the light. When they travel further into, they were again
surprised by the charming limestone formations.
Excited about their discovery, Fred and Tane was
repeatedly return to explore the cave further, and at one point, Tane find the
entrance right at the top of the cave, which is now used as the entrance to the
tourists.
In 1889, Tane the cave was opened to tourists. Tane and
his wife, Huti, build a small group whose task is to take care of the cave. But
in 1906, the cave administration was taken over by the government. However, as
reported amusingplanet, Tane and his wife continue to receive a percentage of
the revenue cave and get involved in the management and development of Waitomo.
5. Marble Cave in Patagonia
